Sabrina Sims
Sabrina Sims is a Black Puerto Rican interdisciplinary artist from the Bronx, New York. She experiments with a wide range of mediums including poetry, riso printing, photography, zines, synth music and more.
Magic, transformation and subversive self care are common threads in her work. She also explores her Black Puerto Rican mixed-ness and what it means to bring soft power to those identities.
Sabrina teaches community workshops and gives artist talks as part of her practice. She is also the lead organizer for the collaborative zine Space for Black Hair and founder of Bronx Zine Scene. BxZS creates zine fairs and arts opportunities for local Black, Indigenous and Latine community.
